What is RoQuery?

RoQuery is the easiest way to create reports that navigate through your repository via a simple to use report definition language, RQL^TM (Rochade Query Language).  Reports can be interactive or pre-canned. 

RoQuery comes packaged two ways:

• Stand Alone - for organizations that use ASG's Web Access or have written their WEB system custom.
• As a RoAccess Plug-In.  You merely add it to your existing RoAccess installation.

RoQuery Features

• Allows fully interactive Ad-Hoc queries of your Rochade Repository
• Has a language similar to SQL, but knows how to traverse Rochade links
• Allows pre-defined reports
• You do not have to understand or create path reports to run RoQuery.
• Allows you to interactively successively refine and extend reports
• Lets you specify which attributes of each ItemType to display
• Lets you specify column widths
• You can even hide "connecting" or "associative" ItemTypes for cleaner output
• Multiple output formats
  • Web tables - attractive
  • Collapsing Tree Diagrams - much like Windows Explorer
• Full support for NameSpaces and NameGroups
• Report Results Drag and Drop
  • You can drag a report to Outlook, Outlook Express and other mailers. The recipient can then re-run the report by merely clicking the email with full security.
  • You can use the URL to embed into any Web page or browser Favorite/Bookmarks.  This means you can have dozens of reports grouped together for frequent execution.
• Allows you to simplify the creation of complex path reports to use in conjunction with Autopilot.
  • Using Autopilot to create path reports is slow and clumsy
  • RoQuery lets you create and extend you report extremely quickly, and at the end, you have the path report you need to install via Autopilot
• You can embed RoQuery Report URLs in ASG's Web Access to run RoQuery reports with a click of your mouse.
• Allows you to quickly understand the Rochade path report directives, like $EXLINK, $INCHAP, etc.  Now you can create extremely complex, efficient reports and path reports like never before.
• You can export results into Excel for processing with macros.
