Custom Development

August has created a large number of custom systems for some of the largest companies in the world. We can create complete, turn key systems or merely enhance and extend existing ones.

We are noted for large scale, mission critical WEB and non-WEB systems alike. We are respected for our Rochade expertise. But the majority of our systems use other, more standard technologies, such as Oracle, Warehouses, XML and Java client-server services.

Below is a sample of a few of the systems we have created:

Ford Automotive: Ford Automotive, one of the largest auto manufacturers in the world, is in need of additional qualified technicians. Ford hired August to create a public Internet WEB site to help find and recruit automotive technicians. It took Ford several months to determine the requirements for the site. August completed the site in about a week! August believes if Rapid Application Development (RAD).

Verizon: 2-Way Interactive Paging E-Business Site. This is one of Verizon's latest E-Business offerings on the WEB. August wrote it for them.

NASA: Metadata Entry System to allows NASA to keep track of the hundreds to thousands of parameters that are needed to specify each file received from their Earth Orbiting Satellites (Mission to Planet Earth).

POPMAILCOM: August created a Java WEB system for this dot-com startup. They paid us $800,000 and the next year they sold the software and resulting company for $28,000,000.! Since August also owns a business ISP, we were able to also handle machine room construction and backbone Internet access all from the same company.

ExxonMobil: August created a data warehouse from the ground up that integrated a number of completely different repository, databases and proprietary systems.
