We were putting together a proof-of-concept presentation to obtain funding for a large metadata/data warehousing project.  We did not have much time, and we were behind schedule.  Then we found RoAccess, the product that provides a front-end web base application to access the Rochade data.  The installation of RoAccess took less than two hours.  Phone support was very timely.  And without any customization or programming we were accessing our own data, making reports, spreadsheets, and such. 

Tasks we thought would be very difficult to accomplish, if at all, seemed almost easy with RoAccess.  This included being able to search multiple Item Types from multiple Subject Areas at the same time using only one screen.

The result screen was a set of hyperlinks that when clicked displayed Items of even different Subject Areas, which we thought was not possible.

Our other custom screen prototypes had tables, buttons, links, color, and even graphic diagrams, in addition it was functional far beyond just a prototype purpose.  Interestingly enough, the only development tool needed is a text editor!

Although we had custom screens, RoAccess integrated them so they looked like standard features.  The standard RoAccess graphics we replaced with KPMG logos and images, all with edits to only a configuration file.

The August consulting services were extremely useful and efficient, even though most of this support we were getting remotely from Dallas. 

Our presentation ran on NT and Unix, plus both Netscape and Internet Explorer. 

We found RoAccess to be an excellent product, August to be a reliable company to do business with, and would highly recommend them to anyone.  I believe that combination of the Rochade and RoAccess  would provide the Rochade customers with a very robust metadata management environment and save a substantial effort otherwise required for deployment of a Rochade Repository.
