| As companies become more internationally oriented, their clients
and employees will be speaking a variety of languages. To address
this, RoAccess is adding additional language support. This National
Language Support is implement via NLS Language files. Each
RoAccess site can have a default language, such as English or German.
Then at run-time, a user can change to a different language if desired.
Each application has a file that contains every phrase in multiple languages.
Which is displayed depends on your language preference.
What does this mean for you? Since your customer and user base
will have an increasing number of needed languages, these can be accommodated
by RoAccess. Adding a new language to the interactive screens
takes about 2 days to translate. This means if you have a pressing
need to Spanish or Greek, then in about two days with you doing your own
translating, you can be up in yet another language. Also, if
your dialect is different from another even though it is basically the
same language, you can have an additional language added to support multiple
dialects. All these languages are then available for the user to
select from.
RoAccess is implemented to be able to utilize many foreign characters,
such as: Ä, Ö, Ü, ä, ö, ü and ß.
This means your Item Types, Item Names and Attributes can have these additional
alphabet letters in them as well.
